Everything You Want Is Already Out There, Waiting For You
Everything you have ever desired in this life is somewhere out there waiting for you to find it. This theory is based on the premise of physical duality - that for everything in the physical universe, there exists an opposing force or piece or something. Let's look at an example:
If you have a desire for, say, goat cheese, then somewhere in the Universe there is a goat cheese desiring to be had. (All you have to do is go find it.)
But, and here is the tricky part - YOU have to go find it! You cannot (as my mother so often would remind me) sit at home and WAIT for it to come looking for you. It WON'T. You can have it; it is out there waiting for YOU; but YOU have to go find IT.
The other part of this theory works like this: You won't actually "have" those things that you want - money, success, relationships, enlightenment - until you are comfortable with the idea of having them. You can want, let's say, a girlfriend. You can go out to bars and clubs and churches and jobs and LOOK for girls, and talk to them, and TRY really hard to make one of them your girlfriend, and it will never work. (I know; I've TRIED.) But as soon as you can say to yourself "I can have a girlfriend," then you are not far from finding that for which you seek.
